Canal du Midi - Part 2

One person has to be at the wheel to move the boat into and out of the lock and one person needs to throw the ropes up onto the side of the lock so another person can loop it around the front and back bollards to hold the boat steady while the water rushes in and the boat rises. That person then needs to unloop the rope from the bollard and throw it back onto the boat OR walk with the two ropes through to the next lock and loop it around the next set of bollards. Relatively easy if you have 3 or more people. With 2 people it is a little tricky as the driver has to leave the steering wheel to throw up the ropes!
